Ian Southworth has been involved in photography and retouching for nearly 20 years. Having finished college in 1988 he immediately trained as an advertising retoucher and was one of the first to use barco and photoshop software to achieve some outstanding and award winning ad campaigns.
Working with the industries leading photographers meant he soon picked up the skills to work seamlessly behind the camera as well as in front of the computer.
Peartree Pictures came about when some friends asked Ian to photograph their wedding. The day was an incredible success, Ian had a wonderful time shooting it and soon others insisted on booking him.
His photojournalistic approach is unobtrusive and relaxed. Capturing the essence of the day with a candid style that illuminates the spirit and emotions of the celebration.
